'Amore d'estate, Firenze'

'Amore d'estate, Firenze'

A3 (12x16 inches)

Coloured Pencils and Watercolour wash sky on illustration board

This was the commission that I mentioned on my blog about a month ago that kept me quite busy for almost an entire week. I really haven't done a lot of artwork containing architecture before and so this was a pleasant, but challenging change.

Wishing everyone a very happy and peaceful Easter holiday!!! :)

WOW!! I believe it kept you busy for a week, very nice work. Nice touch with watercolour to give that light touch for the sky.

Superb work Karen, I too thought it might of been a photo but the background must of been a challenge for sure.

It was a challenge Vic - but it's always fun trying something different :)

Beautiful work Karen! I agree....Architecture is always difficult, because it must be so precise. But that is why I love it!

Karen the SuperArtist! I look at this and I'm almost there. Not kissing of course, but overlooking those terracotta roofs. I'm IN your painting.

Jaw droppingly, amazingly fabulous!

Thank you Deb - ALL your artwork is so precise really - all that tiny detail that you can put into a tiny space, with your own unique style - amazing!!!

Cindy - you make me smile - AGAIN!!! I do feel like I've been there now too - Hope you're feeling so much better and on top of the world!!! :)
