Commissioned ACEO size Pet Portraits

This week marks a big one for me, as after 23 years of nursing, I am going to take a break and concentrate on art full time (between raising our four boys). I have enjoyed my years nursing but art is my current passion and interest and sales of my miniature art have taken off more than expected, which I am absolutely thrilled about. Recently, I have promoted ACEO sized commissioned portraits of people's beloved pets. This little fellow, Willie, was one of my first and I am having an absolute ball. If you would like a miniature portrait of your pet, visit either my ebay or etsy store.

ACEO Tutorial - coloured pencil on drafting film

This beautiful Bengal kitten is the subject of a tutorial on using coloured pencils on drafting film, a medium that has become my absolute favourite for the smoothness that the film gives to pencil work. The reference photo used in this artwork was a gorgeous photo taken by Sean Mcgrath (Flickr creative commons) and was used with his kind permssion. To view the full tutorial visit the Tutorial page of my website http://www.miniatureartbykhull.com/tutorial_19.html.
I would like to add more tutorials to the website and am interested if anyone has specific questions about miniature art, ACEO's, coloured pencil on film, or any or the other mediums that I use in miniature art.
