Acceptance to the CPSA Explore This 8 Exhibition

I was delighted to discover this week that my piece 'What About Me' was accepted into the Colored Pencil Society of America's Explore This! 8 on-line exhibition http://cpsa.org/coloredpencilartists/ET8Show/index.htm. If you get the opportunity to take a look, there are some wonderful artworks, all done with coloured pencils and it is inspiring to see what some artists are achieving with this very exciting medium. The exhibition will run for the next 12 months, so there is plenty of time to check it out! :)

Congratulations Karen! This is an amazing piece, so it's no surprise it's included. I feel it deserved an award as well!

This is a stunning piece Karen. I wish you all the best.
There is definitely a lot of wonderful pieces in the exhibition. All winners in my eyes. :)

I am totally in awe of all the talent in CP works. I keep trying but don't seem to have a lot of success.

Thank you Mona - honestly, I was so happy to be included, but you are sweet to say so,

Dors are you crazy - your coloured pencil work is amazing. I saw your lizard piece on the Grafix site, so they must have been impressed with your work. Maybe you are more comfortable with the graphite. I keep trying other mediums, including the graphite and always come back to the CP's because I'm comfortable. Then I see your works in graphite and it makes me wish I enjoyed working with the graphite more - it is sooo effective. Don't doubt yourself with the CP's though - your work is BEAUTIFUL!!! :)

And so well deserved Karen! It is such a visually stunning piece, with a good dose of humour thrown in.

It's like Christmas at my house - got my order of Prismacolour goodies - the verithins, the sharpener, the Magic Rub erasers...the list goes on. Yay!

Hey, I hope you guys didn't cop it too much with the hail storms yesterday - it looked wild!

Wow! Congrats Karen! Like Mona said, very deserving! BTW, I met Mona in FL at the MASF show. She is a dear! Oh, and Dors commented too. I met her in Sept., when she and Nev came to my house! It's like a reunion here on your blog. Now I just have to figure out how to meet the amazing Karen Hull!

Thank you heaps Dors.

Oh how exciting Cindy - getting a bunch of new art stuff is so much more exciting than Christmas - I'd love to be there to see what you got. I haven't heard of the Magic Rub erasers. Did you get some Pastelmat?

Oh Wow Deb, I didn't realise you had met Dors and her hubby when they were over too. I would soooo love to meet everyone in person and put a real live face to all these comments. Mona seems like a real darling - no surprises there! :)
