Coloured pencil on drafting film
It never rains, but it pours. I have been inundated with orders over the last couple of weeks and am slowly catching up. I can go a couple of weeks with no orders at all, and then it often seems I'll get a string of orders within a day or two (not that I'm complaining!) The gorgeous colouring in Ryker's eyes and coat made this a most enjoyable commission.

Karen this is just like Bo, but with bonus brown bits! Gorgeous looking dog, do you know if there is a bit of Blue Merle in him?
You really are a wizard at these portraits, the owners must be over the moon and beyond when they recieve them - I know I was, and anyone I showed (there were many!) couldn't believe they were not photos.
I'll have a go at drafting film when I get my courage up, any new medium is always a bit scary. It's a good excuse to visit the Art Store. I'd better buy some sticky paper as well. And any other shiny thing that catches my eye - it's better than a lolly shop!
Cheers,
Cindy
PS at Sherry (Autumn Leaves) with the Bee's Willy phrase, I was going to use the more common Aussie phrase, but thought I'd be a "lady" instead!
Thank you Cindy - Ryker's Mum didn't tell me what kind of dog he is, but he sure is gorgeous!!! Can't wait to see what you do with drafting film - you do a fantastic jog with every medium you touch - nothing to be afraid of at all!!! I love Bee's Willy - I'm going to steal that one too!! LOL
Ryker is gorgeous!!
Thank you heaps for that Sherry!!! :)
This DOES look like it was a fun commission. I love all the colors - the play of the white and brown and black in the fur, the red of the tongue...gorgeous!
Me too Deb and thank you!!!!
